Challenging times

Almost two weeks after the initial measures, it is now becoming clear to entrepreneurs and therefore also to our clients how they are affected by the corona crisis. We receive a broad range of questions in these special times. Companies whose liquidity is affected by this crisis are contacting us with questions pertaining to insolvency law. This generally results in intensive consultations, but the sooner the client contacts us the better the solution we are able to create together. On the other hand, there are clients who are suddenly a lot busier than normal. They are faced with challenges in the area of staffing, for example.

While the business of one client may stop altogether and another client is almost unable to keep up, it is good and hopeful to see that those companies help each other where possible. We are noticing that entrepreneurs are demonstrating why they became entrepreneurs. Opportunities are recognised and taken, negotiations about cooperation and takeovers are in some cases actually started or intensified precisely in these times.

In short, these are challenging times, and none of us know exactly how things will develop or how soon things will be ‘back to normal’. And once that time has come, what will be ‘normal’? We wish everyone a great deal of strength, wisdom and above all health. In order to share our knowledge and experience with you, we will soon be opening a helpdesk for entrepreneurs who have legal questions or who need assistance. By keeping faith, we will ultimately emerge from this crisis the quickest if we work together.

We wish all entrepreneurs strength in these difficult times

Our office has reorganised its activities and services differently in connection with the coronavirus. You can reach us by telephone as usual and you can always contact your acting lawyer by telephone. We have sound IT facilities and a driven team. We will continue to do our utmost for you in this situation as well!

Doing business can sometimes be a straightforward path to success, but it can also involve a journey full of pitfalls, barriers and obstacles.

While you, as the director of a business, focus on your commercial goals, there are developments every day that demand a response and action from you. Sometimes you run up against complex and risky issues that call for explicit legal knowledge. You then have to be able to rely on an external expert. The Guido de Wit law firm ensures a sound and reliable business foundation on the basis of which entrepreneurs can do business in freedom. As far as possible, that clears the route to success of obstacles that could have been avoided.

The Guido de Wit law firm places the rigorous, professional field of law in a human and personal framework. And that is the strength of our firm: top quality legal services with engagement and an accessible approach. First and foremost, there is a genuine intention to protect entrepreneurs against legal conflicts by regulating matters properly and thoroughly in advance. But if legal action becomes unavoidable, the Guido de Wit law firm is the perfect partner, which will support its clients with 100% commitment.

Fighting for justice

The Guido de Wit law firm works primarily for larger (internationally-oriented) companies and family businesses.

Through our specialisation purely on company law and all related fields of law, we offer top legal quality in that field and a personal and committed atmosphere. We enjoy cases that test our thinking to the limits, the real brain-teasers. We work on these in ‘triangles’: there is always a team of three colleagues that considers a case. This is quite unique, for traditional lawyers still often work alone. We prefer to work as a team in which the members get the best out of each other.
